LGP-30

The scientific computer LGP-30 (LGP-30) was an early affordable scientific computer, desinged by Stanley P. Fraenkel for the US company ''Royal McBee Corporation“, see also Computermuseum University Stuttgart and Ed Thelen. There are several machines still in museums, and some of these restrored to working conditions, or at least close to it.

In order to understand and experiment with the LGP-30 instructions, there is a simulator using SIMH and a DOS program available from ftp://ftp.informatik.uni-stuttgart.de/pub/cm/lgp30/simulator/.

Jürgen Müller has created a replica by transferring the original circuits to a FPGA, see http://www.e-basteln.de/lgp30/lgp30_intro.html.

This Wiki section collects information, proposals and software on this machine. If you are interested to contribute, send a mail to rainer@rclab.de.
